RAVE-A-ROO AT EDEN PROJECT

THANK-YOU-HALLOWEDEN

Rave-A-Roo was delighted to be asked to partner with Eden Project on Sat 29 October for Halloweden. This astonishing Cornish venue was the setting of a truly  unique and special event.

As part of their Little Monster's Ball, Rave-A-Roo took over the Doom Tent. With our very own MC McMic (played by CBeebies Steve Kynman) and DJ Cuddles hosting, we soon had a wide array of spooktacular characters raving on the dancefloor to our finest tunes. Our partygoers were dressed in the most fang-tastic costumes we've ever seen!

We had the most fabulous time with our Rave-A-Roonie dance-offs, bubble-walkabout, fab giveaways and confetti canons to name a few.

Rave-A-Roo's Festival Tour

This year, Rave-A-Roo had a fantastic summer. Most of our time was spent in the fields of the UK completing our first ever festival tour.

We started at Wilderness Festival, deep in the picturesque Oxfordshire countryside. This family festival is full of creativity and culture and the kids area is particularly fantastic with an array of activities and performances for the little ones. Wilderness was born in 2011 and is brought to you by the creators of some of the UK’s finest and most celebrated events, it's inception was “one of bringing together reciprocal talents: passion to build transformative experiences with a deep love of artistry and artisans”.

Rave-A-Roo was held in the Polka tent on the Friday evening. People were queuing at the entrance before we even began and energy in the tent was electric. The hour takeover included temporary tattoos, glitter faces, glow sticks and the bubble queen. The guests were treated to some fantastic famous floor fillers and some modern commercial favourites from Mr. Ben while Rave-A-Roo hosts played some amazing games such as Drum & Bass statues and the banana limbo.

The next stop on our route was House of Common festival. The day festival was held at Clapham Common on the August Bank Holiday. It had a fantastic line up including Toddla T, David Rodigan, Toots & The Maytals and the headliner of the night, Madness. The kids area was very rightly named Minor Madness and provided families with a circus tent full of fun including giant inflatable assault courses, fair ground rides, a house of fun and endless games for the kids. Rave-A-Roo were there for an amazing DJ takeover. DJ Cuddles hit the decks with some old school rave tunes and some popping electro tracks. The Rave-A-Roonies partied hard with the kids and also gave guests UV tattoos and a whole load of crazy inflatables.

The final stop on the Rave-A-Roo summer journey was Festival No.6. The festival is situated in the most stunning location, in the Italiante costal village of Portmeirion in Wales. The weekend includes an eclectic mix of screenings, readings, comedy, music, performance art, installations, intimate talks and much more. “Festival No.6 has been curated and delivered by a collaborative team determined to deliver the UK’s most unique festival experience”.

Rave-A-Roo was due to takeover the Castle Gardens on the Saturday afternoon. Unfortunately due to infrastructure issues caused by adverse weather conditions we had to cancel  for health & safety reasons. We were very sad but we were determined to make sure people could still enjoy us while on site so we re-arranged to hold the event on the Sunday instead. Thank you so much to all who braved the cold, wet weather to join us for Rave-A-Roo take two! With Steven Kynman as our fabulous host and DJ Gareth Potter blaring out his top Dancefloor classics as well as some top house and disco – people were loving the opportunity to reminisce to their favourite tunes. The Rave-A-Roonies were on top form despite the weather conditions providing tattoos, facepaints, glow sticks and loads of smiley face inflatables.

Overall we Rave-A-Roo had a brilliant summer. They are thankful to the festivals that gave them the opportunity to take over their kids areas in style and provide a whole new audience with a feel of what Rave-A-Roo is all about. We are back in London and all rested after a successful season and already looking forward to the next one. Bring on 2017.
